A June Wedding at Landolls Mohican Castle

When each of my couples reach out to me, I ask them to share their love story. A story of how they met, how they got engaged, how long they've been together, and anything else they'd like to share. I'm a sucker for a good love story (one of my favorite movies is Made Of Honor, the ultimate romcom in my humble opinion...) and I think it really helps me get to know the couple and the type of people they are. It helps me to be more emotionally invested in their story, and capture it in the most authentic way possible.

Austin and Julia have described their relationship as "quite the modern love story."

They initially met on Instagram through mutual friends, and began their forever adventure when Austin invited Julia on a hike. They decided on a hike at Brandywine Falls, and didn't let a little bad weather stop them from having a great time. They hiked in the rain before almost falling in the waterfall together! After this whirlwind first meeting, they became inseparable and were engaged within a year and a half. Quite fitting to their origin of meeting in nature, they chose the beautiful venue at Landoll's Mohican Castle. This beautiful castle is nestled in a gorgeous green forest in the "canoe capital of Ohio," Loudonville. And what a beautiful wedding day it was! It was my absolute honor to capture this special day with them, and I'm sure we'll all remember it fondly for a lifetime to come!

Now lets kick off this modern love story and get a peek at their amazing day!

After everyone was dressed and ready Julia and her bridesmaid shared a hug and her dress strap broke unexpectedly.

Good thing there was a sewing kit there for wardrobe malfunctions like this one!

Austin & Julia decided they didn't want to do a first look, but they did want a chance to be together before walking down the aisle.

We organized a "first touch" where they could interact without seeing each other, and Julia gave Austin a love note she wrote for him.

After the first touch, Austin retreated back to the pool house where he could stay out of sight,

and we moved on to bridal portraits and pictures with the bridesmaids!

Next it was back to Austin for the final step of pinning his boutonniere,

and then it was on to the ceremony!

Another minor wardrobe malfunction! She handled it like a champ, and thankfully Dad was there to save the day.

A few sweet moments between the newlyweds and the parents of the Bride following the ceremony.

Next up is my favorite part of the day! Couples portraits!

Time to party! Lets celebrate the new Mr. & Mrs!

Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs.!
